Danvers To Celebrate 'Superheroes' Amid Coronavirus Crisis

DANVERS, MA — Most everyone has had to make adjustments in the year since the onset of the coronavirus health crisis. Danvers is looking for nominations of those who have gone above and beyond any expectations to help others as part of its COVID: One Year Later "Superheroes" campaign. "If you know someone who has worked extra hard during the pandemic or someone who has given back to the community during this time, we want to know," the town said. "You can even ask your kiddos if they would like to tell us about someone! "Please think broadly about this; your superhero could be a parent working two jobs and homeschooling, nurses, your postal worker who always has a smile, teachers, a JRM employee, and beyond. We want to celebrate them." The COVID: One Year Later project is a week-long campaign March 15 to 19 to honors those lost, celebrate "superheroes" and look forward to the hope of a brighter future in town. Those wishing to nominate a neighbor or other person in town can do so by emailing [email protected] by March 8. Nominations should include a full name and, if possible, a photo.
