PATCHOGUE, NY — A new Starbucks could potentially be coming to Patchogue soon. Last week, Five Point Real Estate announced that Bargain Bilge Marine Supply on 159 W. Main Street was sold for over $2 million. Most recently, the building's owner George Emrick told the Long Island Advance that he sold the nearly 1-acre property to the major coffee-shop chain. "It's a prime location and the gateway to Patchogue," Emrick told the Long Island Advance. "This is my legacy and I wanted to see something cool here not just sell to the highest bidder." After an original plan to build a hotel in the area fell through, Starbucks presented plans to create a new 2,000-square-foot store with a drive-through and outdoor dining, according to the report.
