CHELMSFORD, MA — Four Chelmsford High School students were selected to showcase their artwork at the Massachusetts Art Education Association's Amazing Emerging Artists virtual exhibit, which is set to open this week. The works of each were selected by a jury will be featured on the MAEA website exhibit in the days ahead, according to the school. Chelmsford High seniors Liam McCafferty and Hannah Nettikadan, junior Avery Marr and freshman Audrey Rice were among those who were recognized among the 10 categories and dozens of entries. The MAEA exhibit is being held in conjunction with Youth Art Month in Massachusetts in an effort to showcase the value of art education and support for art programs in Bay State schools. Madalena Alves nominated Marr and Allison Gover nominated McCafferty. Both were honored in the photography category; Gover also nominated Nettikadan, cited in the drawing category. Alves also nominated Rice, who was honored in the painting category. Alves and Gover both gushed about the quality of work they saw in their students.
