ELLENTON, FL — The state will run a three-day pop-up vaccination clinic at an Ellenton mobile home park starting Tuesday, the Bradenton Herald reported. During the event at Colony Cove, about 3,500 vaccine doses will administered. Vaccine appointments at the clinic are open to Florida seniors 65 years old and older, reports said. Appointments can be made by calling 941-705-1591, emailing [email protected] or visiting the park in person at 7615 Lake Shore Drive in Ellenton, reports said. In a robo-call to Manatee County residents Monday, Governor Ron DeSantis said he wanted to increase the number of vaccinated seniors in the county. Like what you're reading? "Our goal is to get the senior coverage in Manatee County higher," DeSantis said, according to the Bradenton Herald. "Forty percent is better than what it is in a lot (of) parts of the country, but it's below the state average, which is over 50 (percent)."
