The Rapid City Fire Department Banquet is coming up on March 20th, and this will mark another year of celebrating our local heroes. We will welcome the newest members of the department, recognize those who have promoted, honor retirees and salute firefighters whose actions have gone above and beyond the call of duty. The money raised by our banquet raffle goes into the auxiliary’s “Community Fund.” We tap into this fund to help fire families during trying times – when they’re dealing with a serious illness or injury, for example – and to support causes that are important to our members, including the RCFD’s Fill the Boot campaign for the Muscular Dystrophy Association and college scholarships for children of active-duty firefighters.
