MILFORD, CT — Mayor Ben Blake shared an update with residents concerning the expanded coronavirus vaccine program.
He said beginning on Monday eligibility for the vaccine expanded to individuals age 55 and older. In addition to age-based eligibility, school staff and professional childcare providers are now eligible to receive the vaccine.
The State's schedule, dependent on vaccine supply, is as follows:Eligibility expands to age 55 and older on March 1, 202145 and older on March 22, 202135 and older on April 12, 202116 and older on May 3, 2021
All eligible residents are required to make an appointment to receive the vaccine by utilizing a registration system like VAMS, Yale New Haven Health, or through certain pharmacies including Walgreens-Milford or Walmart-West Haven. If you do not have internet access, please call Connecticut's COVID-19 Vaccine Appointment Assistance Line at 877-918-2224 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
