FREEHOLD, NJ - A landscaping supply store on the border of Freehold and Howell was robbed Monday night of thousands of dollars worth of merchandise, according to owners. Barg's Lawn and Garden, located at 876 Highway 33, saw at least three masked culprits take chainsaws and pole pruners from shelves worth about $17,000 in total, according to security footage posted by the store. A list of over a dozen stolen items was later posted to social media. The alarm system was triggered around 2:30 a.m., although the subjects had fled the scene by the time authorities arrived.
