Press release from the Lower Bucks County Chamber of Commerce: Malvern, PA 03/01/2021 The Payroll Factory, Inc. March 2021 Newsletter It is amazing how quickly the year is flying by as we head into March. The newsletter will focus on two items involving City of Philadelphia wage tax this month. 1. Today March 1st is the day the Philadelphia Employer Wage Tax reconciliation is due. 2. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the City of Philadelphia is allowing businesses one time to file a group wage tax claim (2020) for their non-resident employees and providing additional guidance and forms related to wage tax refunds. The business needs to provide W-4 information along with highest gross compensation on the W-2, amount of wage tax withheld and calculated refund amount for 2020. The city has on their website the form specifically for businesses to utilize. The refund check will go directly to the employee based on the mailing address provided by the business. 3. For those non-resident employees whose employers do not file a group wage tax refund claim, there is an online Non-Resident Covid EZ Refund Petition. The employee to file this form must have been required to work from home due to the Covid-19 pandemic. A letter from the employer must also be included for the dates working outside of the city. As always "whatever it takes." I look forward to working with you, your associates and above all your clients. Thank you very much and have a successful tax season. Sincerely, Steve Sabel Senior Account Relationship Manager The Payroll Factory, Inc. 18 East Lancaster Avenue Malvern, Pennsylvania 19355 267-907-4179 (cell) [email protected] www.thepayrollfactory.com This press release was produced by the Lower Bucks County Chamber of Commerce.
