Richards students advance to BPA nationals

Richards High School students Canon Maranda and Meghan McSweeney delivered outstanding performances at the Business Professionals of America regional competition. Canon placed #1 in the state in Java Programming and placed #2 in state for Financial Math & Analysis Concepts. Meghan placed #1 in the state in Advanced Office Systems & Procedures and placed #2 in state in Advanced Word Processing. Both have advanced to the BPA national virtual competition (for Meghan, it's the second year in a row qualifying for nationals.) Business Education teacher Derek Johnson serves as faculty sponsor of BPA at Richards.
