ECHO (El Camino Homeless Organization provides shelter for some of the homeless men, women, and children in SLO County 365 nights a year. Please consider helping ECHO out as we continue to provide services to those in our county who need it the most! ECHO is currently looking for volunteers to help with the Campus Monitor shift on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 4:00pm-6:15pm and Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 3:00pm-6:15pm. Campus monitoring can satisfy court-mandated community service hours- ECHO is a non-profit 501(c) Campus Monitors help provide a friendly layer of supervision in our outdoor area during our nightly meal program. The Campus Monitor will help to enforce shelter rules. If any issues arise during program hours, the Campus Monitor would alert the Shelter Coordinator. The Campus Monitor position is a great chance to interact directly with the clients in a friendly and supportive manner. Two Campus Monitors are needed for each shift so you are welcome to volunteer with a friend or family member during your shift. Training Description: Orientation and training provided before volunteering. Volunteer Requirements: Must enjoy working with others in a supportive role.
