MARINA DEL REY, CA — Food delivery drivers can get vaccinated at county-run MegaPODS this week, Los Angeles County Public Health told Patch. People who deliver food for companies that include Postmates, Uber Eats, Grubhub, DoorDash, Instacart and other dining delivery services can now make appointments to get the COVID-19 vaccine, officials said. "Workers supporting restaurant dining, table service, carryout and quick-serve food operations, including food preparation, carryout and delivery employees, can get vaccinated at county-run food and agriculture-only MegaPODS this week on Tuesday and Thursday," L.A. Public Health said. Los Angeles County entered Phase 1b this week and is vaccinating food and agriculture workers, education and child care employees and emergency services workers. About 5,960,528 Californians fall in this category, according to the California Department of Public Health. Workers who are qualified to get vaccinated at the specific sites on Tuesday and Thursday are asked to bring the following items to prove they are eligible: Photo ID (does not have to be government-issued).Proof that you live or work in Los Angeles County (if your other documents do not include your home or work address).Proof that you are a food or agriculture worker.
