Join the Watershed Coalition of the Lehigh Valley and the Monocacy Creek Watershed Association for a Live Stake workshop and planting. Nate Pritchard, NCCD & WCLV Michael Harrington, MCWA Jane Cook, MCWA Jose De Jesus, MCWA Brad Kunsman, WCLV At this workshop, we will teach you about the process of cutting and planting live stakes, branch segments of trees and shrubs that are planted during their winter dormancy. We will spend about 30 minutes discussing how the process works and then the remainder of the time we will spend practicing the techniques directly in a stream at the workshop site along Monocacy Way. You will gain the skills you need to repeat this experience at your stream while also helping to repair a stream in need. Meet at the Quiet Core parking lot at 10:00AM. Please bring along weather appropriate clothing, work gloves, waterproof boots, and, if you have them, hip boots or waders.
