Frozen Fruit Manufacturing Company in San Diego has an immediate opening for a PLANT MAINTENANCE MECHANIC. In this position, you must have the necessary skills, aptitude, and knowledge to perform mechanical duties such as set-up, adjustment, troubleshooting, A.M. Inspections, and overhauls. Demonstrated skills in hydraulic/pneumatic systems, pumps, power transmission (i.e., bearings, gearboxes, chains, sprockets, belt drives, and conveyors). Able to use precision measuring tools, ability to read equipment assembly drawings and documents. Direct experience with production line equipment. Strong mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting production issues while minimizing downtime. Able to take corrective actions independently, Highlight system issues for permanent disciplinary actions, and process improvements. The candidate will have a minimum of 1 to 2-years' experience in the field of Mechanical Maintenance. This individual will conduct general maintenance and repair of all production machinery, such as interior and exterior building and building systems. Job Type: Full-time Pay: $36,500.00 - $41,600.00 per year Job duties include but are not limited to the following: • Bilingual - Read and write in English & Spanish is a Plus. • Use mechanical and electrical tools to troubleshoot and complete repairs. • Read & Understand Equipment manuals that include GMPS. • Some Electrical knowledge and experience or certificate. • Able to Diagnose equipment and control panel failures. • Manage projects with a high degree of self-motivation and responsibility. • Maintain a PM program for all equipment, along with data inventory. • Physical Requirements: repetitive motions, standing, lift, and carry up to 75 lbs. • Experience in maintaining and repairing Manufacturing Machines is preferred. • Ability to work well with others in a "team" environment" and independently. • Flexible schedule to accommodate weekends during our high peak season. **Reply to AD with resume to be considered.
