Delta is looking for an Experienced Class A Driver The truck driver position performs a variety of routine and complex transportation tasks. Driving and delivery of aggregate materials to and from various construction sites, yards and customer homes. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS • Minimum of 5 years of experience with dump, transfers, tubs, pups and conveyored aggregate delivery trucks • Perform safety inspections and write ups • Customer service and client focus • Excellent time management • Focus on Safety • Ability to work in a team driven environment • Strong attention to detail • Ability to interact professionally with office staff as well as field employees QUALIFICATIONS • High school diploma or equivalent is required • Must submit current 5-year MVR for review • Current and valid Oregon Commercial Driver's License Class “A” (CDL) • Must have working knowledge of the Lane County Area • Be able to work overtime, including some Saturdays Working Conditions • Must be able to lift, push and pull up to #50lbs without assistance • Must be able to bend, and stoop, squat, kneel, reach, grip, etc. • Exposed to dirty conditions. • Position will be exposed to various weather conditions, rain, sleet, snow, wind heat and cold. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals and vibration. • Jobs sometimes require an outside work environment with close proximity to highway traffic, heavy construction equipment and hazardous construction, which may include high spaces.
