Description

Press release from the University of Alabama: Jamon Smith, strategic communications, [email protected] March 2nd, 2021 From March 1 to May 15, all first-year students and seniors are exclusively invited to participate in the National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE). To take the survey: The NSSE is a standardized survey that collects information from hundreds of colleges and universities in the United States and Canada to measure how undergraduates spend their time and what they gain from attending college. The survey asks questions on topics ranging from on-campus experiences and activities to the institution's general environment. "The NSSE is a chance for the University to evaluate itself, especially in terms of our student engagement and success," said Dr. Ginger Bishop, assistant provost and director of the Office of Institutional Effectiveness. "We can't make this a better institution without students' help. We need to know what opportunities students need to be successful, and what they're engaging in now. The NSSE provides that information, what we're doing well in and how we're doing compared to our peers." This press release was produced by the University of Alabama.
