Description
A local non-profit is looking for a professional Property Caretaker to maintain historical facilities with integrity and attention to detail. This person is responsible for creating a clean and orderly environment for our guests that meets the organization’s standards. In addition to general maintenance duties, support on occasion organizational events and any urgent maintenance outside of regular business hours. This position will work 35 hours per week and includes benefits.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
• Maintains property grounds ensuring property is in good repair and meets the standards of the organization including painting walls as needed, light electrical and plumbing work, and general errands as needed by the organization
• Management of grounds including sprinkler system and general plumbing
• Oversees landscape and building maintenance contracts, repairmen, and other vendors as needed
• Maintains relationships with current vendors
• Ensures any repairs or maintenance are completed in a timely fashion
• Works to prepare property grounds in the event of inclement weather
• Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or GED certificate preferred
• 8+ years of relevant experience including light electrical and plumbing (irrigation, basic maintenance)
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Knowledge in landscaping and HVAC systems
• Effective communication
• Team oriented
