Requirements: • Minimum of 2 year of experience leading a landscaping crew (maintenance oriented) • Valid driver’s license (Insurable driving record, no DUI’s or reckless driving in past 5 years) • Trailer experience • Able to identify and report problems with landscaping, equipment, and employees • Able to lead a crew independently with the direction of the manager • Leads by example • Makes safety a priority • Ability to work well with others and to take direction • Punctual and dependable • Ability to work in a safe manner using any required PPE • Ability to lift, push, or pull 75lbs • Ability to work outdoors and in extreme weather conditions • Must be available to work overtime and occasional weekends • Able to identify common landscape weeds and plants • Drug free • Alcohol free while at work Job Duties and Description: • Reports to Maintenance Manager • Leads a maintenance crew to complete jobs safely, efficiently, and with high quality • Able to identify landscape problems such as irrigation leaks and dry or dead plants • Operates a truck and trailer • Accurately keeps records and reports to manager • Manages the crews time to effectively complete jobs • Willingness to learn • Ensures crew is correctly clocking in and out • Ensures job sites are maintained to specific standards • Manages members of their crew to ensure their safety, efficiency, and attention to detail • Able to professionally communicate with clients and the public when needed • Uses hand tools such as rakes, shovels, pruning saws and loppers • Able to provide good customer service while at job sites • Identifies and reports basic irrigation issues • Cares for equipment checked out to the crew • Identifies and reports equipment issues • Excellent attention to detail • Deadline oriented and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment • Maintain a landscape to its full potential: Mowing, trimming, pruning, clean-up • Operates trucks and trailers, skid steers, zero turn mowers, string trimmer, backpack blower, mechanical edger, hedge trimmers and other tools
