The Opportunity: We are looking for a Painter’s Helper for the ongoing painting maintenance of a multi-million dollar multi-family property. The position reports directly to either the Head Painter or in some cases the Community Manager and is responsible for the community's exterior/interior physical paint condition. Responsibilities include maintaining the physical condition of the exterior of the property. Job Duties and Responsibilities • Smooth and prepare surfaces for painting, including sanding and removing old paint. • Fill nail holes, cracks, and joints with putty, plaster, or other filler. • Erect scaffolding or set up ladder to perform tasks above ground level. • Graffiti removal from the interior and exterior of buildings if needed. • Receive and complete work orders while maintaining accurate records on material and labor used. • Maintain inventory of tools and assist with inventory control of materials and equipment. • Inspect jobs upon completion and ensure areas are clean. Safety Responsibilities • Operate tools and equipment according to established safety procedures. • Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment and ensure that equipment is in safe operating condition. • Follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties, including lifting, climbing, etc. Do you fit the Bill? • Prior painting experience preferred • Must have High School diploma or equivalent GED • Working knowledge of painting equipment • Ability to follow directions as given by Painting Supervisor • Other essential capabilities include commitment to meet deadlines, integrity, and work ethic • Must possess strong attention to detail and accuracy • Pre-employment Drug Test and Background Check is required Click on the link to apply:
