Description
On Saturday morning, a cat (description below) was hit by TWO vehicles on River Road about 150-200ft south of Maxwell. (The first was a hit & run that I did not witness, while the second was unavoidable and the gentleman DID stop).
Despite numerous people stopping and trying to help the cat, he ultimately disappeared on the west side of River Road and has not been seen since. He had quite a bit of blood coming from his mouth, so while he was mobile enough and/or had enough adrenaline going to escape us, it’s now feared that he crawled into somebody’s yard (possibly under a patio/deck or into a shed or garage) and has passed away. Several people have visited and searched the area to no avail over the weekend, so we are now reaching out here... If you live in the Rosetta neighborhood (particularly between Howard and Maxwell), PLEASE check your property for this cat and contact me if you find it! Alive or deceased, we want to get this kitty the care it deserves, and hopefully find and get some closure to its human(s).
DESCRIPTION: Large long-haired orange cat with minimal white spots that we were able to see (though nobody was able to see its stomach). Its fur was also a bit duller/lighter than your typical orange tabby. As I already mentioned, he was also bleeding from his mouth.
Thank you for taking the time to read this!
