Small residential remodeling firm in DC, in business since 1997, seeks carpenters helper/apprentice for home remodeling work in NW DC. This is a serious offer for a young man or woman who seeks to be trained in carpentry and establish a solid career; we have trained several master carpenters over the years. This is a position of trust, and background checks will be conducted on all candidates. Benefits include 2 weeks paid vacation, 401k, and daily training in carpentry and cabinetry. Pay begins at $15/hr; additional compensation will be provided for candidate with some skills and/or working vehicle and valid license. Only serious candidates that meet all requirements need apply. Job requirements: • Clean criminal record • Physically fit and capable of energetically completing manual labor tasks • Punctual, hard-working, honest & interested in a career in Carpentry/cabinetry • Working command of English. • Legal working status in the United States. Dreamers welcome. • Tool belt w/ basic hand tools (hammer, tape measure, utility knife, square) • At least 18 years of age.
