New England's premier irrigation contractor is seeking QUALITY INDIVIDUALS with IRRIGATION or CONSTRUCTION experience and those people with a SOLID WORK ETHIC to install underground lawn sprinklers for projects around Rhode Island, MA and NH. We have opportunities for service technicians, machine operators, drivers, warehouse, installers, mechanics (part time/on call), and general laborers. LEARN A TRADE! While experience is preferred, we WILL train talented and motivated individuals. This is a career opportunity! Ideal candidates will be expected to increase their knowledge every day both in the field and through various training sessions, and this in turn will provide increased pay. Applicants should have the following: A valid drivers license. Able to get to office in Smithfield or job site daily. Willing and able to work 45+ hours a week. Having, or be able and willing to obtain, a RI Irrigation License (Apprentice-Journeyman). Able to lift 50-80 lbs. Able to be part of a team. Bonus: Backhoe License, OSHA 10 or 40 card, Class 2 Driver License, DOT Medical Card, Forklift training Skills and duties that are useful to our work and factor into your pay rate include: Previous Irrigation experience Any Certifications obtained Knowledge of or experience with: Plumbing Carpentry Landscaping Vehicle repair/maintenance or other mechanic experience Electrical Excavator/skid-steer Driving and backing up a truck and trailer Ability to follow drawings and paperwork Bilingual in Spanish Capable of understanding and following drawings Pump/well background Duties shall include: *Learning the fundamentals of Irrigation, its terms, equipment, installation practices, and maintenance thereof. *Properly installing state-of-the-art, high efficiency, cost effective irrigation systems. *Working with Poly and PVC Pipe. *Working with sprinkler heads, valves, controllers, pumps, filtration, drip irrigation, and the likes. *Learning the newest irrigation technology and how its use can directly conserve water and utilize less resources. *Training to operate pipe-pulling machinery, trenchers, backhoes, skid steer loader, mini-excavator. *Installing and servicing irrigation systems and all of their components.
