OMEX is seeking an experienced Area Manager to manage janitorial and floor maintenance operations at our locations throughout Tucson, Sierra Vista and Nogales. This position requires attention to detail while managing nightly operations to insure all cleaning staff complete their assigned custodial duties meeting a prominent level of expectation, insure all safety standards are adhered to, and serve as the liaison between the front-line employees and OMEX management. Leading and managing people in a team minded environment is important for success. Candidates should be able to multi-task and prioritize task, able to train employees in all aspects of janitorial cleaning, able to trouble shoot equipment when necessary, able to work independently, be familiar with smartphone technology, including apps and email systems. To apply click the link below: This position is currently Monday - Friday 9:00am - 6:00pm. • Employee will report to the Sierra Vista Office at 9:00am daily for Operational brief and pick up company vehicle for use during shift. • Employee will provide janitorial services to several small office locations Monday - Friday. • Employee will provide janitorial support as needed to AZDOT and other local office locations. Duties may include, but are not limited to; • Ability to establish, direct, and schedule a well-trained janitorial team • Establish and maintain the highest level of cleaning services through coaching, comprehensive inspection, and accountability. • Ensure assignments are appropriately staffed and employees have adequate supplies and equipment for completion of assignments. • Provides monthly inventory and places orders of cleaning supplies • Responds to customers request in the allotted time • Ensure the basic five (5) clean door glass, floors, restrooms, trash emptied, and weekly task are properly cleaned and in good working condition, reports minor repairs to maintenance team • Fill in as needed during employee absence. • Provide hard surface and carpet maintenance as required. • Other duties as directed by OMEX Management. Requirements: • Communicate in English verbally and in writing. Bi-lingual a plus • Must have knowledge of and experience in autoscrubbers, low speed buffers, high speed buffers, vacuums, sweepers, carpet extractors and Kaivac. • Ability to train all employees on how to perform daily janitorial task and various floor work. • Must be dependable, have a professional appearance, pay attention to detail, and possess organization skills • Positive, friendly and warm customer service attitude • Professional and cordial management style with customers and fellow employees Experience: • Janitorial Lead and or Supervisory of 5 or more employees: 1 year (Required) • Carpet maintenance and flooring services: 1 year (Required) • Janitorial Operations: 1 year (Preferred) Additional Information: • Must be able to communicate effectively in verbal and written communication including email. • Must be able to work a flexible shift, including some nights, weekends, and holidays. • Manual dexterity sufficient to use hand tools, cleaning tools and chemicals. • Ability to stand, crouch, and climb to perform routine cleaning tasks. • Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation. • E-Verify and Background check required
