Anacortes based General Contractor is growing and in need of skilled carpenters and general laborers with construction experience. An eye for detail and willingness/ability to learn are essential to success with our company - we operate with very high standards of quality and detail, so quick and dirty doesn't cut it with us. Applicants must be willing to learn and perform all phases of carpentry, foundation to finish. Applicants must be effective communicators and be capable of working independent of site foreman at times. Minimum 2 years verifiable experience required. Applicant must supply his or her own BASIC hand tools such as framing bags, hammer(s) tape measure, speed square, etc. Personal power tools are not required, but tooled up carpenters are welcome to use their own equipment if desired. General power tools are provided by the company. Applicant must have reliable transportation and be willing to travel up to 45 minutes each way to work based on travel from Anacortes. This job is hard work, but it comes with a high level of satisfaction for the craftsman-minded individual. Our work areas include greater Skagit county, island county, San Juan County (occasionally) southern Whatcom county and Northern Snohomish county; however, we primarily work in western Skagit County.
