Warehouse Associate Thrift Trucking in Champaign, IL is searching for an exceptional Warehouse Associate. This position requires experience working in a fast paced warehouse environment. Additional requirements include problem solving skills and solid communication skills both verbal and written. Must be self-motivated, trustworthy, dependable and able to work both independently and as part of a team. JOB DUTIES: • Unload / Load daily shuttle trucks. • Skilled with operating a fork-lift / pallet jack / cargo handling equipment. • Sort correct cargo to go out on daily route service. • Assist with daily manifests for inbound and outbound route trucks. • Proficient with reading a tape measure to record carton and cargo dimensions. • Capable of time management. • Keep warehouse clean and organized. • Take direction from on-site managers for special projects. YOU MUST BE: • Punctual; coupled with solid attendance to work. • Positive - Pleasant to be around and work with. Customers, vendors and co-workers need to enjoy working with you. • Solution oriented, not complaint prone. • Resourceful. • Flexible. • Well organized and meticulous. • Possess common sense and business sense. Understand at a practical level how business flows and be able to help the company contain costs and maximize profits. This is a full-time hourly position with company benefits. We make health, dental and vision insurance available after 90 days. Hours are M-F 4:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M.
