Click here to apply: Auto Body Paint Technician Job Summary: The Paint Technician is responsible for painting surfaces of vehicles using spray-painting equipment, power tools, and work aids. The incumbent will work as a part of a team during an assigned shift. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The essential duties of the position include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Key Functions: • Maintain the quality standards of service of the Company • Maintain the proper function, cleanliness, and organization of all service tools, equipment, and work aids. • Inspect panels to be painted for body repair; prepare and/or buff defect(s) • Paint surfaces of the vehicle using spray-painting equipment, power tools, and work aids utilizing specific surface preparation and painting techniques • Sand, mask, blend, and polish paint finish matching the surrounding surface area • Retouch paint as-necessary • Other duties as assigned Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education/Experience: High School Diploma, or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience, and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. Language Ability: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization. Computer Skills: Ability to learn and adapt to changes in software for field operations, currently Mitchell 1, for the purpose of scanning VIN numbers and invoicing customers.
