Job Description is Listed Below: This position is responsible for performing skilled work in preparing metal and other surfaces on light fixtures and light fixture components for painting and powder coating. The lead painter will be responsible for applying lacquers, primers, synthetic enamels, polyurethane, and epoxy with spray guns and other painting equipment. The lead painter will be responsible for scheduling paint jobs in accordance with the production schedule and oversee a group of up to 3 assistants. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Prepping, masking, and painting various styles of light fixtures and components • Maintaining technical equipment for the job and ensuring that they are in working order • Working knowledge of various paint equipment including gravity fed spray guns and pressure pots • Safely dispose of chemical wastes • Use measuring equipment such as viscosity cups and thickness gauges to check proper application of coatings • Mix and match paints to manufacturers recommendations and current environmental conditions • Clean and maintain spray guns and various powder coat equipment • Bake parts at appropriate temperatures within time limitations • Read, interpret, and follow schedules, bills of material, and other written instructions • Perform consistent color changes • Promote and maintain a safe and clean work area • May be assigned other duties based on workload Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: • Communication skills • Leadership qualities • Ability to train and motivate others • Problem solving and critical thinking skills • Proficient MS Office skills Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: • High school diploma • Experience in wet painting as well as powder coating • Forklift experience preferred Text 386-898-4262 to apply
