Indian Springs Golf Club is a 9-hole, public facility built in 1964 and located in Middlefield, CT. The Assistant Superintendent reports directly to the Golf Course Superintendent and assists with all the day-to-day operations of the maintenance department. Typical duties include: Supervision of staff and daily job order implementation, Chemical/fertilizer applications, Course setup, Irrigation repairs, Hand watering, and some mowing. This position typically runs seasonally from March 15-December 15th. Qualifications and Skill Requirements: *1-3 years of golf or landscape management experience highly preferred *2-year turf certificate or degree preferred, but will train the right individual *Knowledge of gas powered engines and tools preferred *Must obtain a CT pesticide operators license within 90 days *Must possess a valid CT drivers license in good standing *Must have a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn *Must be on time for work typically from 6am-2:30pm M-F and some weekends required! *Must be courteous and be able to work in a team environment and have fun doing it
