Busy Fairfield County garden center seeks team member to fill the position of Nursery Operations and Delivery Driver. THIS IS NOT A DRIVING ONLY POSITION! Applicant will support our team in the garden center with varying tasks related to daily operations. This position is full time seasonal from March-Christmas. Start date of March 15th. Wages are competitive. Health, 401K and direct deposit available for eligible candidates. Duties include but are not limited to: • Heavy lifting, 50+ lbs. and manual labor • Assisting with local deliveries • Loading and unloading trucks • Maintaining plant material (watering, fertilizing, etc.) • Some operation of small and heavy equipment • Maintaining cleanliness of property and sales areas Applicants MUST: • Be authorized to work in the US • Have knowledge of written and spoken English. Knowledge of Spanish a plus. • Be able to lift 50+ lbs. • Be self motivated and a team player. • Have great communication skills. • Be able to work outside in varying weather conditions. • Knowledge and interest in plants a plus.
