We are a fence fabricator and distributor looking for a shop assistant. This job will assist with assembly and distribution of customer orders. Must have: ** Must have clean NYS drivers license (CDL NOT REQUIRED) AND be comfortable operating flatbed delivery trucks. ** Must have experience operating a delivery truck (we use flatbed trucks for our deliveries). ** Must work well with others and be reliable. ** Must have craftsmanship skills, for example know how to take measurements, use tools, etc) ** Must be willing to learn. We are willing to teach. Considered a plus: * Fence industry experience is a plus. * Welding experience is a plus. * Experience working with customers is a plus. * Experience operating a forklift is a plus. * Prior experience working in a fabrication shop or manufacturing role is a plus. * Basic computer skills is a plus but not required. * English speaking but a second language is a plus.
