Register for Mass at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on March 7, 2021 Sacred Heart Catholic Church has created the following guidelines for attending public Mass in accordance with requirements set by the Diocese of Joliet and the State of Illinois. These guidelines have been created to keep everyone safe and healthy and to allow as many of our community to celebrate Mass within the requirements. These instructions will be under evaluation and are subject to change. Although public Masses are resuming, please note that Bishop Pates has dispensed the obligation to attend Sunday mass for all he faithful in the diocese at this time. The Diocese of Joliet will continue to livestream Masses HERE. Please instruct those who do not have access to a computer to call 630-907-4690. If you are unable to attend and would like to make a donation select QUICK GIVE. Full instructions will be given in a separate email for other ways to make your donation. Please use your September 6 envelope. Mass will be celebrated at: 10:00am SundayBecause of social distancing requirements, church capacity will be significantly reduced and seating will be in every other pew with social distancing between those attending. Please see the chart below for seating guidelines. Pews labeled with '4' maximum will have a maximum of 4 people, all who live in the SAME HOUSEHOLD, and pews labeled '1' has a max of 1 . Other family members who live in a different household will have to sit in a different pew. Please see seating chart below. Pews with 'X' will not be used. The following guidelines have been put in place for the safety of all attending: Please wait in your car until you see someone unlock the doors to enter.Please maintain the recommended 6 feet separation while in line awaiting ushering to a pew.If you have not registered to attend, you will not be allowed into the building.Greeters will usher you to available seats in the church. PLEASE NOTE - you will be escorted to your pew. It is not possible for you to sit in your 'favorite seat.'Hand Sanitizer will be available at entrances, please use when entering. If you are sick or vulnerable to infection; or care for someone who is vulnerable we ask that you please do not attend.Everyone attending mass MUST wear protective face masks . To avoid cross contamination, Hymnals will not be provided.When you enter the Church you will notice that there is no Holy Water. However, you should make the sign of the cross when entering the Church.Please use restroom at home before coming to Mass. Restrooms will only be available for emergencies only. Although these are stressful times and the usual hug or handshake would be welcome, please refrain from hugs, handshakes and singing to protect the health and safety of all.Please plan to arrive not later than 15 minutes prior to the Mass you have signed up to attend. In order to assure the safety and health of all our parish family and friends, we ask that you do not congregate or meet up before or after Mass. Instructions for receiving Holy Communion will be announced during each Mass. Please note that the consecrated Host will only be distributed IN THE HAND ONLY. The Church will be sanitized following each Mass. We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we come together for Mass, with measures in place to minimize risks during this time.
