This is also a fundraiser for his wife Linda and boys Tyler & Conner. $50 per person - appetizers and buffet dinner. Live music from Two Easy (Colin Halliday and Mike Christensen) and Don Wilson of Mellencougar, with very special guest WAG. Don was larger than life - let's give him the send off he deserves and raise some money for his family. If you are uncomfortable attending a live event we've also set up a Go Fund Me page. Raffles and Silent Auctions. https://gofund.me/5ce6decb Don was strong and positive through his 3 year fight against stage 4 colon & liver cancer. Don was a loving husband to his wife Linda. A great father to his two sons, Tyler and Connor. And a great friend to many. He lived a mostly average life. He graduated from Northern Illinois University and Columbia College . He met Linda, they got married , and have been happily together ever since. Don started his own company soon after. His hard work and dedication towards his business, VDO Productions, allowed for him to provide for his family and over the years, and to see it grow to be one of the most successful video production companies in the Chicago area. Don was diagnosed with cancer in 2018. He channeled all of his natural positivity and energy into beating cancer and his amazing attitude was in inspiration to all who knew him. He fought hard, and he kept smiling. And then 2020 happened, and like many small business owners, Don saw his business begin to evaporate. He kept smiling, and tried to find creative ways to make ends meet, but the situation quickly became grim. On Christmas Eve Don took a turn for the worse and he died 10 days later at home surrounded by family and friends. After multiple years of financial hardship, Linda and her sons are struggling to get out from under the medical bills and debt caused by the double whammy of cancer and the pandemic. The hole is too deep, and they are not going to be able to dig out on their own. Please consider donating to help this wonderful family get back on their feet and to build their new future.
