SARASOTA, FL — The outdoor tennis court at Pioneer Park closed Monday for about 30 days because of a planned renovation project, the city of Sarasota's Parks and Recreation District said in a news release. The project includes a new synthetic/acrylic court surface and the installation of a new ultra-heavy-duty polypropylene tennis net. During the court's temporary closure, residents and visitors can play tennis at the following courts in Sarasota: Arlington Park & Aquatic Complex, 2650 Waldemere Street Gillespie Park, 710 N.
