HUNTINGTON, NY — These are recent arrests made in the Huntington area from Feb. 21 through Feb. 27. Joel Santiago, 38, of Huntington, was riding as a passenger in a taxi at 11:30 a.m. Feb. 24 when he stole the taxi driver's purse while in Huntington Station, police said. He was arrested and charged with fourth-degree grand larceny: credit card on Feb. 25.Derrick Loyde, 34, of Huntington Station, was pulled over at the corner of East Pulaski Road and First Avenue in Huntington Station at 9:23 p.m. Feb. 23 and was found to have drug paraphernalia and a stolen Home Depot credit card, police said. He was arrested and charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property: possession of credit card and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance on Feb. 23.
