Welcome to March 2021; the month of Spring and the return of the sun. I already see the tips of my pansies peaking their heads through the soil in my garden. What a wonderful sight! Nature reminds us of the natural flow of life, death, and rebirth. Happy Spring! Each first-Monday-of-the-month, I present my inspirational and motivational vlog, "60 and Beyond with Skylark", on my YouTube Channel, Skylark Live. I began doing this vlog when I was turning 60 and wanted to share some of my experiences and insights to help others in this age group. Please take a moment to subscribe to Skylark Live on YouTube where you can watch this vlog and many other vlogs and videos I've posted there. Tonight's topic is "Let Your Light Shine." Nelson Mandela wrote, "Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small doesn't serve the world. There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we're liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others."
