Home Energy Assistance Clerk/Floating HEA Clerk:Openings:  (1FT) Toms River, (1FT) Lakewood (1FT) Atlantic City Site– 35 hours per week)Candidate processes applications regularly.  High interaction with public and staff, so must effectively communicate with diverse backgrounds.  Candidate must be detail orientated, data entry, create and maintain client files.  Requires High School Diploma or equivalent, typing proficiency to 45 wpm and experience with data entry.  Regularly uses Microsoft Office Suite, Internet and Grant database. Prefer candidate that is Bilingual (English / Spanish).  Minimum one (1) year experience in high volume customer service. Valid Driver's License and transportation. Must be able to lift at least 45 pounds. This position is responsible for ensuring accurate record keeping; managing the acceptance process to the Head Start and Early Head Start programs, including ensuring that each site has an identified selection committee. Candidate must effectively communicate with families in English and Spanish (preferred). High School Diploma or G.E.D. required. College degree preferred. The candidate must have experience in dealing with the public, be professional, sensitive to the needs of low-income families, have clerical and computer skills, flexible and be able to work on a variety of tasks. Ability to use computer/Microsoft/Word/CSST program. Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize and organize diversifies workload.  Requires Associates in accounting or related field.  Will consider high school diploma with proven 5 plus years of experience.  Candidate must be detail orientated, deadline driven, exercise strong analytical and problem-solving skills.  Eligible for FT paid time off, paid holidays and fringe benefits such as health, life, dental and 403b plan.  Valid Driver's License and transportation. P-3 or Nursery certifications preferred. Teaches children ages 3 – 5 years old and supervises Education staff based at the assigned site.
