Description

The Junior League of Summit proudly offers a three-part mental health series on Zoom, presented by clinical psychologist Illyse Dobrow DiMarco, Ph.D. As we navigate towards a year of the Pandemic, there are more challenges facing us every day. We are hearing more about general mental stress and fatigue. This mental health series is meant to help with burnout, management during the pandemic, as well as coping with reentry post COVID-19. Topics include: Session 1: Wednesday March 3, 8-8:45 pm - Coping with burnout: Strategies to manage COVID fatigue and build resilience. Session 2: Thursday March 18, 8-8:45 pm - Using values to help navigate life and make decisions in the COVID era Session 3: Wednesday March 31, 8-8:45 pm - Post COVID Reentry: How to cope with fears about re-engaging with the world. "As we spoke to members of the Junior League of Summit and the community at large, it was clear that people were experiencing higher levels of stress and anxiety. We felt this was an excellent opportunity for learning and dialogue on how to continue to focus our own mental health and support those close to us" said Tara Charvat, President of the Junior League of Summit. In May of 2020 the Junior League of Summit hosted their first mental health series concerning the effects of the Pandemic focusing on mindfulness, anxiety, and self-care. The series was well-received and with the continuation of the pandemic the Junior League of Summit determined there was value in hosting another series. To access the recording of the first series you can find those sessions here. This mental health series is open to anyone in the community who may find it beneficial and is free of charge, however registration is required. You can register here. The Junior League of Summit is a nonprofit, charitable, and educational organization of women who are committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers.
