Position Summary: Examine and sort product according to specifications and depending on the product quality requests. Timeframe: Seasonal starting Mid April Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. • Must comply and follow all GMP’s, Safety practices, and Company policies. • Sort product by hand on conveyor belt according to grade, color, size, and places product in containers or on designated conveyor areas. • Look at and feel product as required by its nature, to determine grade and identify substandard product. • Place rejected product and individual product grades in designated areas. • Discard cull (inferior or defective) items and foreign matter. Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no supervisory responsibilities. The employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or grasp and reach with hands and arms. Must be able to make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble very small objects. The employee is occasionally required to walk and talk or hear. The employee must frequently lift and /or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and color vision. Work Environment: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The employee is occasionally exposed to extreme cold. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
