WHAT: Groundbreaking for Overley-Worman Park
WHEN: Monday, March 8 at 11:30 a.m.
WHERE: Godello Circle cul-de-sac in the Vonterra neighborhood (location of the Overley-Worman parking lot)
WHY: Join Mayor Emily Styron, the Zionsville Parks and Recreation Department, the Parks Board and Town Council for a groundbreaking of Overley-Worman Park.
OTHER: Overley-Worman Park will have both active and passive recreational activities. There will be high-demand amenities such as playgrounds and paved and natural pathways, plus new amenities including Zionsville's first mountain bike trail system, a 9-hole disc golf course and a fishing pier and boardwalk around the existing pond. A bridge will connect visitors to the Big-4 Rail Trail, the 3.75-mile paved pathway that forms the main spine of Zionsville's trail system.
