DUPAGE COUNTY, IL — DuPage County's coronavirus positivity rate has dropped to its lowest point in months, according to new data from the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH). As of Feb. 26, DuPage County's positivity rate was 3.4 percent. The county's positivity rate has not been that low since June 23, when it hit 3.3 percent. In mid-November, DuPage County soared to 14.6 percent, marking its highest positivity level since IDPH began sharing coronavirus positivity statistics. Region 8, which consists of DuPage and Kane Counties, hit 3.5 percent on Feb. 26, markedly lower than its high of 16 percent on Nov. 13. A similar trend was reflected in Kane County, which reported a positivity rate of 3.8 percent Feb. 26.
