SAN DIEGO, CA — A late-morning apartment fire in Point Loma Heights displaced a family of four Monday. The non-injury blaze erupted for unknown reasons shortly after 11 a.m. in a second-floor unit at a residential complex in the 4300 block of West Point Loma Boulevard, according to the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department. It took crews about 20 minutes to subdue the flames, SDFRD spokesman Jose Ysea said. The American Red Cross was called in to help the residents of the damaged apartment — two adults and two children — arrange for emergency shelter. The cause of the fire was under investigation, Ysea said. — City News Service
