Allguard Termite and Pest Control is a local, veteran owned company looking for a hardworking, growth minded individual to help us with carpentry work in the Ventura area. We are seeking a handyman/carpenter/roofer with knowledge of general construction practices and techniques to repair or replace termite or fungus damaged rafter tails, trim and fascia boards, hang doors and effectively block and seal rodent entry points. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: **Must have your own truck and tools** MUST HAVE YOUR OWN LIABILITY INSURANCE (Our Insurance Broker Can Help You If Necessary). Physically able to lift 50 lbs. Able to work at heights including 2-Story 30 ft extension ladders and roofs. Self-starter, able to work independently. Able to work in enclosed attics and subfloor crawl space areas with low clearance. Knowledge of building codes and construction practices and techniques necessary to repair or replace termite or fungus damaged rafter tails, trim and fascia boards, shiplap, roof sheathing, roofing material and techniques, hang doors and effectively block and seal rodent entry points. Experience with Bondo or similar resin restoration materials. Able to work quickly and cleanly - maintain work area at customer's site, prevent paint spills, remove debris. Maintain vehicle and/or equipment in clean, organized and proper operating condition.
