Description

OSWEGO, IL — A multi-unit commercial building in the Will County portion of the Oswego Fire Protection District sustained a damage of $50,000 after a fire Sunday. Firefighters responded to the building, located in the 10000 block of Clow Creek Road in the Wheatland Industrial Park, at 12:05 p.m. The building was unoccupied, and they were able to confine the blaze to the one business, the district said. Since there are no fire hydrants along Clow Creek Road in the vicinity of the building, firefighters set up a water tender truck to provide water to fight the fire. Fire companies entered the unit and "made an aggressive interior attack," the statement from the district said. No one was injured in the fire. Oswego firefighters were assisted at the scene by the Aurora Fire Department, Plainfield Fire Protection District, Minooka Fire Department, and the MABAS Division 15 Fire Investigators. The Plainfield Fire Protection District and Troy Fire Protection District provided station coverage in the Oswego Fire Protection District during the incident.
