This four-hour training will provide early childhood educators (PreK-G3) with environmentally oriented STEM lessons for their curriculum.
Growing Up WILD is the early childhood program from Project WILD. Each of the 27 multi-discipline STEM Units has background, activities, music, dance, reading, math, food, and home activities. Each unit also has book lists and alignments to national standards. Lessons are designed to be active, age appropriate, and geared to experiential learning through an emphasis on the five senses.
This program is useful for both formal, informal, and home based educators as well as early childhood outreach programs. Embedded in the lessons and appendices are tips to maximize an environmental education experience.
