DOYLESTOWN, PA — Local attorney Antonetta Stancu received the support of the Bucks County Democratic Committee at its recent endorsement meeting.
The virtual weekend convention was attended by over 390 Democratic officials. Stancu received over 90 percent of the vote.
"I want to thank the committee members for their overwhelming support," Stancu said. "I alsowant to thank my opponent for running an honorable campaign."
During her 17-year career as a prosecutor, Stancu served as a Bucks County Deputy District Attorney, an assistant U.S. attorney and a Bronx County district attorney. She lives in Doylestown with her husband and two children.
Stancu is looking to unseat District Attorney Matt Weintraub, a Republican, who is running for reelection in November. The primary election will be held on May 18.
