Richard P. Waltz Plumbing & Heating in Portland is looking to hire an up-beat, go-getter attitude Sales Manager. This position will be responsible for driving sales for the company, along with assisting the Operations Manager in other aspects as necessary. A strong knowledge in Heating and/or Plumbing is necessary for a successful candidate. The Plumbing and Heating Sales Manager position involves building positive relationship with customers, closing deals, developing new accounts, ensuring repeat business from existing customers, and making a positive impact in the company. They will be responsible for understanding the needs of the customer and how to meet those needs when working with new and existing clients. The Sales Manager also reads and takes off blue prints; estimates, bids and negotiates projects; performs heat loss and heat gain load calculations; lays-out and designs systems; and has a general working knowledge of this industry. Experience in either the Heating or Plumbing industry individually rather than both will be considered and is encouraged to apply. This position requires experience selling industrial or commercial products and services to the building industry (equivalent education and/or training). The Sales Manager must be a good negotiator and have proven skills at identifying new sales opportunities and closing projects. Must be goal-oriented, self-starting, energetic, and have a genuine willingness to help others. License in the heating and/or plumbing field is helpful and will be valued (but is not a must).
