Proyecto Papalotl presents a free public workshop on the history, movements and protocols of Mesoamerican Danza. First Mondays Masterclass Presented by Tara A. Chadwick at Old Dillard Foundation Art and Heritage Center (formerly known as the Art House), Fort Lauderdale FL MAR 01 2021 First Mondays Masterclass Proyecto Papalotl presents a free public workshop on the history, movements and protocols of Mesoamerican Danza. Join us October 5, February 1, March 1 and April 5 at the West gate of the Art and Heritage Center (formerly known as the Art House) in the Sistrunk Neighborhood. We will practice protocols, learn rhythms and build the strength and balance necessary to participate in a traditional danza practice. Everyone is welcome. No experience necessary. No fees. The only cost is your time, attention and participation. We will be practicing on the outside patio, so lightweight shorts and shirt are appropriate. We will be ensuring social distancing, and it is mandatory that you bring your own mask and water. If you feel you may need to take a break during the 45 minute session, please bring your own seating as well. Due to covid his in person event is limited to 7 participants.
