Description
NO CONTRACTORS NEED APPLY - I am disabled and need to spend my stimulus and tax refund money wisely. Need someone with experience with floors to help to take out and replace 12' X 21' of OSB, install laminate, and possibly put a floor jack or two in the crawl space. Unknown about the jacks. Have to replace some of my siding with Hardi Plank - approximately a dozen 12 foot sections of Hardi Plank to be cut. Replace some boards on front deck. Take up toilets in bathrooms and put linoleum (now called sheet vinyl) that comes in rolls into bathrooms.
Beyond that I have other jobs to do around the house like drywall, painting, and fixing the front deck. You have the option of taking those jobs after the flooring and siding is completed. I had a handyman who was 70 and priced the jobs based upon his speed at the rate of $25 an hour. He was injured in an auto accident, so now I have to start all over. If you are fast and competent, you can make much more by the hour. I can pay in cash, but I already have laborers. You need:
Saws for cutting OSB, plywood, laminate and Hardi Plank
Prefer someone with a truck - Home Depot and Lowes are only two or so miles away
Some experience - I was a Seabee years ago so I will know
Two men can do the flooring and siding job in 2 days or less. If you insist on using your laborers, the pay is the same. This is intended for a side project - extra money for someone between jobs, needing some extra $$$ or a retired home remodeler who wants some extra money. Plenty of work for someone that wants to just work a couple of days per week. You can make UP TO $200 or more per day. I did not say the job pays $200 a day. I said you can make that much and maybe more per day if you are good and work at a moderate pace. I've paid people by the hour and they spent 20 minutes of every hour on their cell phones. This is based upon how much we get done each day. Come take a look first if you like.
