March 1, 2021 – In response to the heroics witnessed in the healthcare industry and out of a desire to provide assistance in the West Alabama community, Shelton State Community College will begin a new evening nursing class option beginning in summer 2021. The application for the evening class will open on March 1 and conclude on April 2. Classes will begin May 24, 2021.
The new evening option will provide the same quality instruction and support available through daytime classes, but it will also offer flexibility for those previously unable to apply due to scheduling conflicts.
"We are always excited when something new is available for our students," said Gladys Hill, Associate Dean for Health Services. "It is especially gratifying at this time in the life of our community because we know that this decision is going to provide much needed assistance at our hospitals and healthcare facilities."
