Janitor and Handyman Part-time Janitor and Handyman is needed for our Reno, Nevada location. Responsibilities: • Clean and maintain the interior and exterior of the building; including: o Vacuum carpets; steam clean and remove stains, as required. o Sweep and mop floors; apply wax or sealant, as required. o Pick up trash o Empty trash and replace trash liners o Clean and service restrooms, kitchens, conference rooms and common areas o Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors o Dust furniture and scrub surfaces clean o Move heavy equipment and furniture o Maintain the exterior of the building; including, weed removal, sweeping, trash pickup, cleaning and maintenance o Shovel snow from entryways and sidewalks, and maintain the surfaces in a safe manner o Spray insecticides and fumigants to prevent insect and rodent infestation o Identify and report possible maintenance and repairs o Monitor building security and safety by performing such tasks as locking doors after operating hours and checking electrical appliance use to ensure that hazards are not created. • Perform maintenance and repairs o Fix minor plumbing and electrical problems o Remove graffiti, paint and maintain the exterior of the building o Prepare offices for new tenants; including, painting walls and cleaning carpets o Identify, report and provide solutions for possible repairs and maintenance o Other tasks requested by management Requirements: • Ability to work with minimal supervision and report to offsite management and owners • Friendly demeanor & professional appearance • Prior janitorial and handyman experience • Good communication skills • 5 hours per day; Monday through Friday; flexible hours • $18.00 per hour To Apply: Reply to this job post and send your full name, phone number, email address and an overview of your experience.
