Job Title: Material Handler / Warehouse Associate 75828 Location: North Austin (Howard Lane / I-35) Schedule: 1st Shift: 6am to 3pm + OT (could go as late as 6pm) - $14 2nd Shift: 12pm to 8pm + OT (could go as late as 1am) - $15.40 Monday – Friday with weekends for OT Duration: Long term, full time. Weekly pay + Benefits. Pay: $14 base rate + 10% premium for 2nd shift. Bonuses: $250 bonus after 30 days. $250 bonus after 90 days. $500 bonus if hired on permanently. Job Summary: The Material Handler accurately and safely distribute material internal and external to the facility in an efficient and expeditious manner. The job is responsible for stocking, inventory management, and handling of all manufacturing materials. The job requires accurate counting and kitting of materials. Ability to follow written and verbal directions and communicate effectively with team members both orally and written. Working inside a warehouse environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Accurately handle transactions and physical movement of material in and out of the stockroom Responsible for accurate inventory level management Responsible for maintaining cycle counts and a clean warehouse Accurately kit all work orders Assist in all WIP movement and transactions May assist with shipping/receiving/packaging as needed May drive company truck and/or forklift May perform other duties as required Attendance is an essential duty of this position Use of pallet jacks and scales safely and effectively Handle and store inventory in a manner to prevent damage and reduce waste Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Working knowledge of MRP systems (SAP and Visual preferred) Intuitive Great data entry skills Excellent attention to detail Good computer literacy Good verbal and written communication skills Good math abilities Forklift experience is a plus (not mandatory – not all members will drive the units) Use of basic hand tools Knowledge of 6S is a plus (Sort, set in order, shine, standardize, sustain, safety) Experience in the manufacturing environment required; stockroom or warehouse experience preferred Physical Demands: Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push, pull and grasp. Ability to move arms, hands, and fingers. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Prolonged standing and bending intermittently during work hours. Ability to Exerting up to 45 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up-to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or up-to 15 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Ability to lift over 45 pounds with assistance. Environmental Exposure: Subject to noise levels. Subject to both inside and outside environmental conditions May involve exposure to noise hazard area. Subject to hazards including electrical current, moving mechanical parts, exposure to chemicals and debris. Subject to hazards, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to high heat or exposure to chemicals. Subject to hazards including working on ladders. Required to wear personal protective equipment.
